Join with low-wage workers and people of faith in seeking justice in Mid-South
  workplaces.

Call on UT Health Science Center to Meet with Laid Off Workers
Despite receiving over $30 million in federal and state stimulus funds intended to prevent layoffs, UTHSC has
laid off 33 workers, many of them low-wage. Call on UTHSC Chancellor Schwab to meet with laid off workers,
stop future layoffs, and disclose how layoff decisions were made. Take action or learn more

Urge University of Memphis to Pay Its Workers a Living Wage

Petitions by Change.org|Start a Petition »
Sign WIN's petition to President Raines and urge her to move all University of Memphis employees up to a living wage.
A new study by economist David Ciscel finds that in 2010, a living wage for a family of four where both
parents work full-time is $11.62 an hour. Many University of Memphis employees earn much less -
in some cases only the minimum wage of $7.25 an hour.

Call on Safari Tapas Bar to Stop Wage Theft
A worker from yet another downtown Memphis restaurant is partnering with WIN to try to recover her stolen wages.
Safari World Tapas Bar owes former cook Zorina Bowen nearly $1,500 in unpaid wages. Email Safari now to support
Ms. Bowen in her struggle for justice.
